History
The Mountain Road God’s Missionary Church of Penns Creek, PA was started on November 1, 1978. Rev. George I. Straub, General Superintendent, called a meeting to organize the church. Rev. L. Wayne States was appointed as pastor, and the church met in the chapel of Penn View Bible Institute. On November 8, 1978, the board agreed to purchase a double-wide mobile home to serve as the parsonage. In 1987 additional land was purchased next to the parsonage to build a church near Penn View’s campus. The first service was held in in the new church building in 1992.
In 1995 the church sold the double-wide mobile home and built a new parsonage. Pastor Alan Walter and his family moved into the new home in August 1996. Another ten acres of land was purchased and Mountain View Cemetery was established. In 2003, a modular classroom was acquired and the church moved their youth class and children's ministry into the building.
